Opening doors happens by helping our students put their best foot forward. Through transitions to and through high school, our students shine when they have the right supports in place.

But we don’t go to college with them; one of Ivy Tutor Connection’s promises is that our students are fully prepared to not only gain admission to their top choice schools, but to thrive once they get there.

“My son was diagnosed with Dysgraphia and told he would never be able to write. We reached out to Constance at Ivy Tutor Connection when he was in third grade, and she worked with him every week for 3 years. Since then, we’ve received support on and off and now, after 9 years, he is not only a great writer, but he’s also been admitted to college to study Astrophysics. I want to thank Constance and her team from the bottom of my heart for all her help. They always believed in him and found a way. I know we could not have done this without their influence, mentorship, and teaching. There is something truly special about Constance and her tutors.”

2. Unleashing students’ superpowers

Ivy Tutor Connection families come to us because their children learn differently. Some students learn so fast that their schools can’t keep them cognitively stimulated. Some students process information differently and they need to explore concepts in five or six different ways to make meaning of them. Regardless of the profile, we believe that every student is deserving of a transformational educational experience.

Our students present with cognitive gifts, learning differences, and attention challenges, sometimes all at the same time. Our tutors are those teachers who are the best in their districts, hand-picked by Constance, and compensated for their dynamic, warm, and effective methods to teaching. Zoe, grade 5, in Columbus, OH has recently broadcast a news piece pulling together her research on the current state of the environment. Shining in front of the camera, one would never guess the challenges Zoe has overcome with reading and writing under the tutelage of her Ivy Tutor Connection tutor.

Another student, in grade 6, who is gifted in math and known among his friends as “the human calculator” has learned to apply his acumen in number sense and his highly analytic nature to build and run a business in and online simulation. He’s also become a master in deductive reasoning through is interest in logic puzzles, riddles, and mysteries. His tutor with Ivy Tutor Connection has led him to develop these skills by unearthing topics of interest for him and developing them into problems he can wrestle with over a period of weeks, providing personalized intellectual stimulation that his public school district is not able to provide.
